Classical Subfoveal Choroidal Neovascularization in Age-related Macular Degeneration (OCT-Image)

Classical Subfoveal Choroidal Neovascularization in Age-related Macular Degeneration (OCT-Image)
OCT showed CNV above the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE). Thus, it is called the "classical" form. We see a fibro-vascular membrane (1) above RPE, a subretinal fluid accummulation (2) and subpigmentepithelial blood/ lipids (3). There is no significant detachment of the retinal pigment eptithelium.
