Congenital colobomas of the iris are typically bilateral and directed nasally inferior. They occur isolated or, among other maladies most frequently in connection with heart disease. The coloboma in this case is incomplete and limited to the periphery. (The right eye has nucleosclerosis, the left eye is aphakic.) | |
