Patient: 73 years of age, female, BCVA no light perception.
Ocular Medical History: high myopia, retinal detachment, rubeosis iridis with secondary glaucoma.
General Medical History: arterial hypertension, lung embolism, receiving continuous phenprocoumon therapy.
Main complaint: painful eye.
Purpose: to present corneal perforation with iris tamponade.
Methods: Colour photography, ultrasound (Quantel Medical CineScan S).
Findings:
Colour photography: corneal ulcer, retrocorneal vascularization, athalamia, iris tamponade.
Ultrasound: vitreous hemorrhage, no tumor.
Discussion: In case of a perforated corneal ulcer in a painful blind eye a surgical ocular evisceration was performed.
